Florida Courts eFiling Program

As of July 1, 2012, the Putnam County Clerk’s Office is accepting electronic filings for Circuit Civil, Family (Domestic Relations), Probate, County Civil and Juvenile Dependency cases. Those wishing to electronically file court records can do so by using Florida’s eFiling Portal at www.myflcourtaccess.com. All users are required to register and use an assigned user name and password.

Any attorney, party, or other person who files a document by electronic transmission with the Putnam County Clerk of Court shall immediately thereafter file the identical document in paper form with an original signature of the attorney, party, or other person if a signature is otherwise required by the Rules of Judicial Administration (hereinafter referred to as the follow-up filing). The follow-up filing of any document that has been previously filed by electronic transmission will be discontinued once the Putnam County Clerk of Court and chief judge certify to the Florida Courts Technology Commission that the electronic filing system is efficient, reliable, and meets the demands of all parties and this Commission has authorized the elimination of the follow-up filing.

UPDATE: Filers are no longer required to submit the originals of E-Filed documents filed through the E-Portal as of February 5, 2013. Original documents such as death certificates etc., or those that contain original signatures such as affidavits, deeds, mortgages and wills must be e-Filed but the original must also be submitted until the court has determined the digital format by which these issues are addressed.

SUMMONS: Please E-File one summons to be issued by the clerk. The clerk will issue and rescan as SUMMONS ISSUE TO: xxxxxx into the case. The attorney may then print this out in duplicate to prepare a summons packet for the Sheriff’s office (1 summons, plus 1 summons stapled with all the backup to be served, then those two can be stapled all together). The attorney can either deliver to the Sheriff’s office or drop it in the Sheriff’s pick-up box in the appropriate office.

WRIT OF GARNISHMENT, REPLEVIN & POSSESSION: Please E-File one writ to be issued by the clerk. The clerk will issue and rescan as WRIT ISSUED into the case. The attorney may then print this out in duplicate to prepare the packet for the Sheriff’s office (1 writ, plus another writ stapled with all the backup to be served, then those two can be stapled all together). The attorney can either deliver to the Sheriff’s office or drop it in the Sheriff’s pick-up box in the appropriate office.

RETURN OF SERVICE:: Once the attorney receives the Return of Service from the Sheriff’s office, they may E-File it into the case.

NOTICE OF SALES; ASSIGNMENT OF BID; CERTIFICATE OF SALES, TITLES AND DISBURSEMENTS: Notice of sales should be E-Filed prior to the final hearing date. Certificate of sales should be E-Filed prior to the sale date. Assignment of Bid, Certificate of Title and Certificate of Disbursement should be E-Filed after the sale with the correct recording fees and/or doc stamp fee.

As of April 1, 2013 all Circuit Civil, County Civil, Domestic Relations/Family Division, Circuit Probate and Juvenile Dependency filings from an attorney must be submitted through the E-Portal.

As of February 3,2014 all criminal filings from an attorney must be submitted through the E-Portal.
