Summary of Priority Ideas

 

Quality of Life

 

1. Improve tax base, tax everyone proportionately.

 

2. Add EMS station in Florahome/Grandin. 

 

3. Need paved roads. 

 

Natural Resources and Recreation

 

1. Open up public boat ramp and swim area on Georges Lake and add park.

 

2. Need lights at ballfield (for life flight, too).

 

3. Investigate sand mines impact on water (Georges Lake).

 

Transportation and Infrastructure

 

1. Pave Bellamy Road from Coral Farms to C.R. 315.

 

2. Routine visits by County Commissioners to communities.

 

3. Traffic light at C.R. 315 and S.R. 100.

 

Economic Development

 

1. One cent sales tax for infrastructure purposes.

 

2. Improve tax base and collect taxes proportionately.

 

3. User friendly Building and Zoning.
