1. How do I find out about county job openings?

2. What is the Jobline number?

The Putnam County Jobline number is 329-0496.

3.     Where can I call for more information about county jobs?

Call 329-0219 or toll free 800 826-1437 extension 0219.

4.    Where do I apply for a job?

Job applications may be obtained from and submitted to the Putnam County Human Resources office at 514 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177 or mailed to P. O. Box 758 Palatka, Florida 32178.

5. Will you accept my resume or application at any time?

No. Job applications are accepted for specific job openings only. A file is maintained for EMT and paramedic positions only.

6. What are your business hours?

Our hours are 8:30 - 5:00, Monday through Friday.

7. Where can I get help with medical bills?

The county has a program that will pay in-patient hospital or emergency room bills, only when the treatment is provided to indigent county residents by an out-of-county facility. The request for assistance must be made within ten days from the date of hospital admission or ER treatment. Call 329-0218 for details.

8. Can I get assistance with a funeral bill?

The county’s Pauper Burial program provides reimbursement to funeral homes for certain burial expenses. The Funeral Director can provide details.
