General Services Narrative

General Services is primarily a support/service activity for the operating departments of the Board of County Commissioners and is the act of acquiring, at the best possible price, consistent with quality, those items of materials, supplies, service, and equipment necessary for proper and efficient operating procedures; distributing same to using agencies, and maintaining inventory records of all equipment, supplies and materials.

How do we get on your vendors list?

Get the name & address of the vendor and send them a vendor application to fill out and return to purchasing.

Where do we send our bid?

If the bid is sent UPS, etc., send to 223 Putnam County Blvd., East Palatka, Fl, 32131 as stated on the Call for Bids.

Who were the 3 lowest bidders?

We inform the caller, from the tabulation sheet as to the first, second and third lowest bidder.

Could you send me the names of vendors who picked up specifications?

We get their fax number and fax them the list if the vendors who picked up the specifications.

When do we have to turn in our invoices to get paid Friday?

We must receive the invoices in our office by Tuesday in order for Finance to pay the following Friday.
